*(Typical of commentators who know nothing about firearms except they're "against them", they got the terminology wrong)
Bullet* Capacity Opponents File Lawsuit Against State | News | caledonianrecord.com:
A lawsuit was filed on Wednesday that challenges Vermont’s new law that limits the bullet* capacity of gun magazines. The Vermont Federation of Sportsman’s Clubs is among a handful of plaintiffs asking the court to declare the new limits unconstitutional. The federation claims 52 individual clubs in the state are part of its membership. The Caledonia Forest & Stream Club in St. Johnsbury is among them.Unstated, but obvious ... it matters less to the proponents of the new rules (* how many rounds are "allowed" in a magazine) than that ANY individual is allowed to own a firearm. The issue of "'how many rounds" is nothing more than an attempt to undermine the Second Amendment of the Constitution because ... they don't trust their fellow Vermonters.
Anti-gun people are searching for some reason ... ANY REASON ...to circumvent the Second Amendment rights of their free people.
In their progressive movement, they will toss into the pot every and any specious argument which may undermine the Second Amendment rights of their citizens. This is a disgusting and underhanded effort, and one which should be contested at every turn.
The sad thing about this battle is that the same people who will defend the First Amendment see no conflict in their efforts to undermine the Second Amendment
