So what is the rest of this story? What brand/model of rifle, caliber, handload or factory round? Never under estimate the ignorance of some shooters.
Found the news article. Who ever wrote this obviously doesn't know a bullet from a primer and really over dramatized everything.
BTW, was he trying to cram a 30-06 into a rifle chambered for .308? I have seen people trying to do that. Based upon the little information provided, I suspect operator error on this one.
