Revolvers ... yech!

I'm working on a war-story post (part faulty memory, part fiction, all bullshit all the time) which so far is outlined in four parts.  Yes, it's too long to read already, even without all the extra added editorial flourishes!   It may take me a while to get around to actually WRITING the damn thing!

So you'll have someone else to laugh at in the meantime, I'm posting a video made by a man who shares my disdain for Revolvers.  You remember Revolvers, don't you?  Great bud-vases, pretty good doorstops?  Yeah, them.

Don't go on the S&W forum spouting such drivel about the holy revolver. Besides you live in the Pacific NW, you should know that you don't go into bear or bigfoot country without a powerful revolver. A whimpy semi auto will only get you eaten.

Chuckles.

I'm ambivalent on this subject. I like the larger capacity of autoloaders, but I also like the simple and dummyproof revolver. Secure in the knowledge that I'm unlikely to need more than 5 rounds to defend myself (and I carry five more anyway), my usual carry has been a Charter Arms Bulldog 44 or Pitbull 40. When my Remington R51 gets in, that will change...

I don't want to go into big bear country carrying a semi-auto. I want something with more power and authority.

Simple to operate, accurate, ultra reliable and powerful. What's not to like about revolvers?
