Over 85,000 Secret Reports Made by Doctors to NYS Police Without Patients Notice:

Webster, NY –-(Ammoland.com)- Civil rights attorney Paloma A. Capanna today released the statistics on the NYS Mental Hygiene Law  [section] 9.46 secret reporting from 2013-2016, showing more than 85,000 reports made from medical providers to the NYS Office of Mental Health and the NYS Department of Criminal Justice Services.

This is why you don't want to discuss firearms ownership with your doctor.

(For a while, it was against the law in some states for doctors to lecture you about The Evil Gun.  New judicial finds have invalidated that law because your doctor's First Amendment Rights include his/her right to tell you how to live your life based on philosophical differences.)

Yeah, we're getting cranky about "Doctors and Lawyers" again.   Can you believe we PAY them for their interference in our private lives?

AXES May Be Hazardous To Your Health

There are two kinds of axes which, if misused, may be hazardous to your health.

The first kind of hazardous axe is physical:

Islamic State has claimed an Afghan teenager who attacked passengers on a train in Germany with an axe on Monday night as one of its 'fighters'. Earlier on Tuesday, the interior minister said a hand-drawn Isil flag was found in the room of the 17-year-old, whose attack left three seriously injured. Police shot dead the suspect as he attempted to flee the scene. The assault in Wurzburg was the latest suspected terror attack to shock Europe following the atrocity in Nice last Thursday. 

Terrorists don't need guns to do their dirty work.   Law-abiding citizens need guns to defend against them.

The second kind of hazardous 'axe' is administrative:

Healthy patients to be axed from surgery lists if they don't see GP for five years:

20 JULY 2016 •  A scheme that discriminates against healthy people by axing patients from surgery lists if they have not visited their GP for five years will harm safety, campaigners have warned. Doctors’ and patients’ groups have said the cost-cutting measure also risks leaving elderly and vulnerable people accidently deprived of primary care. NHS England has employed the outsourcing company Capita to begin a process of “list cleansing”, whith [sic]the aim of cutting costs by ensuring accuracy over which patients are using which services.

Socialists don't need guns, either.  They have a pen and a cell phone, and they can do anything they want.   The insidious thing about Socialism is that the participants (citizens/subjects) have put their whole trust .. in effect, they have put their life on the line ...  in 'The System".

But the system is a heartless bitch, and if you live under her aegis, you have few alternatives when she turns her back to you.

It's difficult to determine which kind of 'axe' is more dangerous;  should you trust the terrorist, or should you trust the state?

In an unarmed battle, some people may find it easier to battle against terrorists than The State.
At least a terrorist won't tell you:  "I'm doing this for the general good".

Socialism + Unfettered Immigration in Sweden

Sweden: 'No Apartments, No Jobs, No Shopping Without a Gun':

Here's what happens when you live in a country where there are few, if any, controls on Immigration:

 During the last few decades, Swedes have had to get used to the government (left and right wing parties alike) prioritizing refugees and migrants above native Swedes. The high tax level (the average worker pays 42% income tax) was been accepted in the past, because people knew that if they got sick, or when they retired or otherwise needed government aid, they would get it.

Here's what happens when the society is based on Socialism:

 Now, Swedes see the welfare system failing them. More and more senior citizens fall into the "indigent" category; close to 800,000 of Sweden's 2.1 million retirees, despite having worked their whole lives, are forced to live on between 4,500 and 5,500 kronor ($545 - $665) a month. Meanwhile, seniors who immigrate to Sweden receive the so-called "elderly support subsidy" -- usually a higher amount -- even though they have never paid any taxes in Sweden.

And here's what happens when you put them together:

 Worse, in 2013 the government decided that people staying in the country illegally have a right to virtually free health and dental care. So while the destitute Swedish senior citizen must choose between paying 100,000 kronor ($12,000) to get new teeth or living toothless, a person who does not even have the right to stay in Sweden can get his teeth fixed for 50 kronor ($6).

National Public Radio To The Rescue!

NPR has published a satirical video which performs a much-needed public duty: poking fun at "Tea-Baggers" .

Tea-Baggers are the sadly mis-informed and mis-lead (by the damnably obstreperous Anti-Obama Racists) pawns of Conservative Scallawags conned into believing that Our Dear Leader would or could ever support a multiple-trillion dollar public program which offers nothing but benefits to the National Health for any purpose but to help American Citizens who cannot or will not purchase Health Insurance out of their own pockets.

And Dear Leader is ready to fine us Big Bucks if we reject his generous offer, you betcha!

I'm sure you are all as happy as I am to learn that America's Public Broadcasting System is willing to go full-out to support Dear Leader's Policies.

And remember, they do this not because they receive much of their funding from Your Tax Dollars, but because the care enough to research the issues and determine which side of the argument (Hah! Like there is another side in legitimate opposition to Obama!) is right for you.

A leading UK hospital has defended its practice of using organs donated by smokers after the death of a soldier who received the cancerous lungs of a heavy smoker.

Corporal Matthew Millington, 31, died at his home in 2008, less than a year after receiving a transplant that was supposed to save his life at Papworth Hospital -- the UK's largest specialist cardiothoracic hospital, in Cambridgeshire, east England.

Papworth Hospital released a statement saying using donor lungs from smokers was not "unusual."

The statement added that the hospital had no option but to use lungs from smokers as "the number of lung transplants carried out would have been significantly lower," if they didn't.

Apparently, organ donations are not fully screened in the United Kingdom due to minimal funding under the National Health System (NHS).

In this case, the Iraq War Veteran "...was serving in Iraq in 2005 when he was diagnosed with an incurable condition that left him unable to breathe."

So he was put on the waiting list, and they eventually came up with a pair of replacement lungs, but they didn't tell him that the lungs they had came from a 2-1/2 packs per day smoker.

Less than a year later, he developed Lung Cancer and died as a result of his wounds ... delivered by a 'grateful NHS.

This is just more example of the reasons why Socialized Medicine is Not A Good Idea. The entire program is supported by The State, and when the money runs out it's Hobbson's Choice for you, my lad. "This is what we have; take it, or leave it."

He was told he required a transplant and in April 2007 received a double lung transplant at Papworth Hospital.

Less than a year later, doctors discovered a tumor in the new lungs. Despite radiotherapy, Millington died on February 8, 2008, at his family home near Stoke-on-Trent, in Staffordshire.

The inquest found a radiologist failed to highlight the growth of a cancerous tumor on the donor lungs.

Tests found that he had received the lungs of a donor who smoked up to 50 cigarettes a day, the inquest at North Staffordshire coroner's court heard.

[Emphasis Added] One wonders why this "cancerous tumor" was not found on the donor lungs before they were transplanted.

The answer is obvious: they didn't perform the necessary tests before the transplant, and the most obvious reason is that the NHS was reluctant to perform the necessary tests. Forget the obvious lies which blame it on a radiologist. Trust me, if you have lung cancer it CAN be detected by a CT scan.

This evening I talked to SWMBO, who was diagnosed with Lung Cancer 15 months ago. Today she was scheduled for another CT scan, and informed by her insurance carrier that she would be personally responsible for about 10% of the cost of the CT scan ... which costs a total of $3,250 - $4,500.

She was nonplussed about the fact that, although she pays $600/month for insurance, she would be required to pay $350 - $450 for the CT scan. As she is unable to work, and lives on her pension, she was unhappy with the news.

Evil Private Medical Insurance Bastards!

Under NHS, Corporal Matthew Millington was not required to co-pay for the CT scan which would have detected the tumor in his replacement lungs. Under the circumstances, I suspect that almost anyone would argue that it was a necessary pre-condition to accepting a pair of lungs that a CT scan be performed. Since the article did not mention it, and because the test is definitive and WOULD have detected a tumor, it seems safe to conclude that a CT scan of the donor lungs was not performed prior to them being transplanted in the body of a young, otherwise healthy veteran.

But the choice was not offered to the veteran recipient. He probably was not even aware that the most definitive (albeit expensive) examination of the transplant organs had not been performed.

Instead, NHS rolled the dice for him and ... oh darn. Sorry, but we put a smoker's lungs into your body without thoroughly testing them and I'm afraid we put a cancer in there as well. But I'm sure you understand that we had no way of knowing about the tumor, because we really couldn't afford to make the tests. Stiff upper lip, Old Boy, and all that.

Now we in America are pondering whether to invoke Socialized Medicine upon our populace.

Perhaps it would be better to just cut our own throats and save ourselves the pain and discomfort of Bandages-On-A-Budget.
