Ever hear the story about the frog in the cook-pot?
You put a frog in a pot, and put the pot on the stove. The frog is comfortable, and paddles around as if nothing has changed ... because it has not.
After a while, you turn the burner on to "LOW". The frog is kewl with that.
Later, you turn it up to "MED". Happy Frog sweats, but it's no big deal.
Finally, you turn the burner up to "HIGH", and you've got a stewed frog who was perfectly happy with being stewed because .. hey, it didn't seem like such a big deal at first!
Well, California is the Frog. You're getting burned, and you don't even notice it because it's so GRADUAL!
You're The Stewed Frog
You live in California, and you're an elected official, and you really want to get re-elected for the rest of your life. (the following criteria doesn't count if your first name is "jerry" or "alan".)The first thing the politicians do is to vote to infringe upon the Civil Rights of your voters..
The first thing you, the voters, do is to re-elect Democratic State Senators after they are dead.
If you stopped doing that .. that would help, don't you think?
(Geez, I've seen some clue-less electorates, but don't you agree that this is embarrassing? In this state, if you're a DEMOCRAT, you don't even have to .... not only campaign, but BE ALIVE to be re-elected! And you wonder why your Elected Democratic Representatives don't seem to stand up for your civil rights in California???)
Okay, let's talk about Firearms Ownership and the Second Amendment in California:
California Gun Owners ... you think you have a Second Amendment Right to purchase firearms? (POLITICS)
Heh heh heh. You're dreaming!
California has just turned the burner from LOW to MEDIUM.
Sacramento, CA – (Ammoland.com)- Assembly Bill 1674, authored by California Assemblyman Miguel Santiago (D – Los Angeles), would make it a crime to attempt to purchase more than one firearm of any type in any 30-day period. If this sounds familiar, these rules already apply to handguns. Additionally, it would delete the private party transaction exemption to the 30-day prohibition, making it illegal to purchase more than 12 total firearms in a year.(emphasis added)
You elected "Assemblyman Manuel Santiago (D-Los Angeles .. are you surprised?)
Did nobody notice that "D" in his political persuasion category?
Pistol owners are often ignored by the snooty Rifle owners ... they think that nobody will touch them, because ... not concealable, right? Why would anyone come after OUR guns? We're no threat ... 99% of criminal actions involving firearms are not committed with a "long gun".
You fail to understand; they're not after pistols; they're after guns. And they're going to take them, unless YOU take action.
And no, you can't get your rifle from your buddy, your brother-in-law, or any other legal source.
TWELVE FIREARMS A YEAR:
It sounds reasonable, doesn't it? I mean .. why would anyone want to purchase 12 firarms a year? Or more?
Well, why not set the standard at TWENTY firearms a year?
Or TWO firearms a year?
It isn't the number that counts; it's the restriction. If it sounds arbitrary, it is.
It's that 'they' think it's reasonable to restrict your exercise of your Second Amendment Rights.
"Sure, we don't want to infringe on your Second Amendment Rights; we just think that you're going too far."
Bullshit.
What they're doing is establishing that they CAN "infringe" upon your Second Amendment Rights".And you will let them do it, because "incremental".
Next year, they'll drop the 'limit' to 10 guns a year.
And if you buy that, you will soon discover that you are limited to ONE GUN A YEAR, and you won't even notice it happening. Because you let that first little chip out of your Constitutional Rights go by without a whimper.
What's next? ZERO guns a year?
Why not? Who is going to argue about the difference between ONE gun and ZERO guns? Don't you already have 'enough guns'?
Second Amendment
I don't know how the HELL you're going to do it, but y'all folks have got to STOP ELECTING GUN_GRABBING ASSHOLES INTO PUBLIC OFFICE!After all .. it's not like they really care; they just want to get re-elected. And so far, going after your

The fact is, many voters do not believe in private firearm ownership, or the second amendment.
As they say, as California goes, so goes the nation.
