I finally found a copy of "Unintended Consequences" (by John Ross) on Amazon ... in the "paperback" (mass market) version ... for under the $100 + price which has long been the standard for the ground-breaking novel.
The cost was $39.95 + shipping and handling.
That was last week. This week, I checked again and the lowest price for the same book was $50.
If you're looking for a copy of the book, and can't really afford to spend 'too much', you'll must have to do what I did: keep looking until you find someone willing to sell it for a decent price. (I went through the same process trying to find a copy of Col. Jeff Cooper's "The Gargantuan Gunsite Gossip: Volume I" a few years ago. Note that Volume I, II and III currently sell starting at $40 and go UP!)
The book is almost 800 pages, and I'm taking my time going through it. Although I do reread my favorite books frequently, I don't yet OWN all of my 'favorite books' --- and the county library is disposing of 'old books' because nobody is reading them anymore; ref: Phylip Wylie's "Generation of Vipers" and "Tomorrow", and everything by Robert Ruark.
But by the way, people, in case you don't understand the premise? The book is just a story. It's not a blueprint for a new American Revolution, and it's not a meme. It's not even one of Robert Heinlein's "If This Goes On ...." kind of story. And the original reason I wanted to read it is that a friend loaned me his copy a few years ago, and I was impressed by the author's imagination.
So don't go bloating the market with demands for a reprint (and jumping up the price from resellers) just because you're politically active and ... like .. want to know "what to do next".

UI is a fairy tale, nothing more. I'm fortunate to have a copy inscribed by the author! :-)
I've also GGG volumes I and II. No signature. :-(
BUT, I do have the Cols bio signed by both Lindy and the Col.!
Now, if some enterprising person made a GGG index, that would be AWESOME!
gfa
Robert Ruark's two books on the Mau Mau uprising are classics. They also are good reads regarding big game hunting in Africa.
There is a pdf copy of _Unintended Consequences_ floating around if all you want to do is read it.
