The Legacy of Piers Morgan: A True Believer!

Bottom line on GUNS in America : Guns in 21st Century America : Naples Blogs : Naples Daily News: Local Naples, Florida News Delivered Throughout the Day.:
Love him or hate him this man always went to the bottom line and said what he believed. He let those of different views say thier [sic] piece too, without the cut-offs, shout-downs and bullying you see today on the Fox cable show. Piers Morgan even took his show into the lions den in the largest gun and shooters shop in Texas. The owners demostrated [sic] thier [sic] best, most popular guns and ammo. At that time it was the AR-15 Military style assault rifle, 100 plus shots in less than a minute, wonderfull [sic] . Killing made fast and easy. Piers words speak for themselves. I agree with most of them and the respectfull [sic] way he says them and proves his point.
Oh, where to start.

This guy, perhaps a features writer ... or at least a blogger ... for the Naples (Florida) News and whose tagname is "bossman1", actually seems to believe that Piers Morgan (I'll not quote, for I can spell better) let those of different views say their piece ... without the cutoffs, shout-downs and bullying ... which is typified by .. the FOX cable show.

It must be tough to run a newspaper in Naples, Florida.  Difficult to find people who will provide word-count on a regular basis.  But since, apparently, nobody actually reads the Naples News blogs .. the actual content must not be an issue.

Anyone who would characterize Piers Morgan as "respectful" of his interview guests must have a very different interpretation of the word.  As difficult as it is to believe, there seem to be some people (at least one!) who can watch his telecasts and see Morgan's biased, bullying and self-aggrandizing tactics as "respectful".  Florida must be a terribly dull place to live, when Ambush Journalism seems respectful and cutoffs, shout-downs and bullying tactics are ignored because the man speaks the King's English  and his political views seem to correspond with your own.

No, I will NOT subscribe to the Naples News, and I will NOT join the fisk-fest between Joe and his one reader.  It just seemed ... curious .. to me, to learn that someone actually thought Piers Morgan to be a gentleman.

Not letting guests duck the question, stopping their bloating and covering uncomfortable (to the guest) topic is bullying? Give me a bully anytime.

I never listened to him, but if the following comment from a reader of the Orlando paper is any indication of his intelligence, views, and that of his fans, I didn't miss much. And I quote: "I am saddened to see Pers Morgan leaving. He was so right on gun control and I wholeheartedly agree with him! Who better to be killed by guns than those who are in love with them...better them than us! While they are teaching their children to love guns, I do hope it's them that suffer the consequences.
