I'm wearing out the "CHICAGO" sidebar classification thingie on my computer because every damn WEEK I'm reading about how you folks are killing each other.
Yes, I know there are other major cities with horrendous murder rates ... but you guys seem to get the most press time because (I don't know) the Roaring Twenties?
Gimme a break; Al Capone died of syphilis about a zillion years ago, but you people keep on with the shootings and gangs and I don't know what all. Have you no shame?
Nine people were killed and at least 29 others were wounded in weekend shootings in Chicago. Shootings across the city wounded 12-year-old boy on the Far South Side, and wounded a woman who tried to break up a fight in University Village, from 5 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. In the weekend’s last shooting, two women were shot by a man they were arguing with in Englewood on the South Side, Chicago Police said. Among the fatalities was 39-year-old Tyrone White, who was killed in a shooting that wounded five others the West Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side. About 1:10 a.m. Sunday, White and the others were gathered outside in the 6400 block of South Eberhart when someone fired shots from inside a passing vehicle, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
Stop it. Just ... stop it. I don't need more stories about Chicago murders.

It all involves a protected racial group that commit 99% of the shootings and killings, an ineffective and crooked court system, and a shady political machine that has neutered and decimated the police force.
Bet it would slow way down if CCW permits were attainable in Chi-town.
@ Mark: Illinois has CCW now, and there are a CCW holders in Chi-town, in fact, a few of them have already offed a thug or two. It's just that there are not many of them and they stay in the better parts of town, which is not where all the shooting is happening.
