Okay ... that's better.

America's 1st Freedom | Carry Life | Senior Competence:

We also believe that genuine maturity—as opposed to patronizing intolerance, however glib—illuminates a larger front in the fight against such sneering. Those of us living in some part of a second half-century of liberty know nothing will preserve and strengthen the Second Amendment like the calm, confident, competent practice of same. The willed ignorance that frames every subjugational flavor of the “you’re incompetent to defend yourself!” argument cannot withstand the radiance of this uniquely American truth. Now Carry On.

See ,,. that's the response I WANTED to see from the NRA, all along.

It just took them a while to figure out the difference between being a responsible representative of their membership, and being a bunch of IDIOTS!

Thank you for your kind attention, and good night.

But will the progressives and their captive media, educational system and justice system allow the truth to be known?

I belong to a club which is heavily into NRA gun handling and gun safety courses. There are NO courses aimed specifically at older folks, but there ARE courses designed to train other specific classes of shooters.

To me, this demonstrates that the NRA cannot "walk it's talk". Jerry, your original rant was to the point, and while NRA's CCW maven recalculates his course, the sad fact is that we geezers are no closer to beating down the stereotypes of " incompetence" than we were a week ago. Stay the course, Jerry!

Here's a clue for the NRA: get with some Occupational Therapy specialists of the Physical Therapy field. Design a proper gun-handling course which considers age-related physical handicaps. Publish the course and train a cadre of trainers to offer the courses regionally. At the same time, get your Rolodex-spinners into action, and start jumping on these condescending bastards with both feet.

Designing gun courses and protecting the R2KBA is a full-time, forever job for the NRA. They can succeed, but not by making strategic retreats, letting the enemy pick off the rights of the people in need of the most protection from the thuggery this enemy allies itself with on a continuing basis.
