What happen is that a radicalized Muslim attacked military installations in America because of his religious beliefs.
This, in a country where freedom of religion is the first of the Rights acknowledge by our Constitution. Which is presumably why this immigrant wanted to come to this country. (Either that, or he hates us and hid his feelings for YEARS in order to perform this "low-key" attack on our country.)
This, in a country where the President has spent years opening our doors to foreigners. He doesn't care who they are, he just wants to let them in; one can't help but wonder of this was purely a political decision. (Of course it was!)
This, in a country where the leaders of our military (especially the President, who claims to "speak for the American people") will not allow its military to be armed on duty .... even though the same military has been subject to multiple armed attacks over the past few years.
One of the CNN interviews with a female witness suggests that the shooter actually shot up at least one of the military stations by poking his rifle out the widow of his rented car. No problem; there was no perimeter security. In fact, there was no security at all, even thought this was not the first time that recruiting stations have been subject to attack.
Both al-Qaida and the Islamic State have called for attacks service members and their families, said Brian Michael Jenkins, senior adviser to the president of the RAND Corporation.A couple of tentative conclusions, based on the information immediately available:
(1) We are at war with individuals who have been radicalized' by their religious leaders. They have declared war on us, but it's a guerrilla war as there is no central authority which we can readily identify, and there are no uniforms, no declarations from a recognized political state. Because it's a religious war, and we cannot declare war on a religion which has declared war on our country.
(2) Our leadership has been remiss in its reluctance to acknowledge this state of war. The least they can do is to allow armed resistance to guerrilla attacks by members of our military in public venues.
This is personal. I have a son in the Military. He's in an MOS which allows him often to be armed while on duty. But not necessarily when he is off-base, and in public. If he was the victim of one of these 'random' attacks, I would blame the military policies which deny him the right to go armed at all times.
I don't want to read this kind of story about my son, or his large and happy family.
Obama, get your head out of your pedantic pusillanimous pompous nether sector and start the process of allowing our military to provide their own personal protection while on duty.
