National Ammo Day

National Ammo Day

'Nuff said?

H/T: too many to mention.

Here's the dealio;
  • On November 19, you should go out and buy at least 100 rounds of ammo. This is intended to . . . well, I'm not sure. But what the heck, buying ammo is always a good idea unless you can but a case of Montana Gold Bullets, a sleeve of Winchester Primers, a keg of Vihta-Vourhi N350 powder and a slew of Winchester cases and build 4000 of your own .38 Super reloads! (Approximate cost:
  • bullets: $185
  • Primers: $80
  • powder: $75
  • 4000 cases: $400
  • Total cost for componenets to build 4,000 rounds: $740
  • Cost per 100 rounds? $18.50 (Unless you figure you'll get at least 5 reloads out of every case, in which case you'll be paying $8.26 per hundred)
  • The joy of shooting all this ammo: Priceless!
