Damned if you do, Damned if you don't

In New Jersey, you can't even TALK about guns in a positive light!

Anti-gun-control video project gets H.S. student suspended | NJ.com:

A New Jersey High School student, Frank Harvey, said
",,, a Manville High School teacher instructed him to create a video arguing against gun control for a junior college readiness class last year."
He was kicked out of school for performing the task too well.

UPDATE:     See the video that started the whole thing here.
(NOTE:   I couldn't get the video to work; it may have been lifted by now)

Probably something racist about the assignment. In a PC world, it sounds like one of those illegal assignments. Or, maybe he had too many trigger words.

Jerry, have you gotten the video to work yet?

If not, you didn't miss much. It's basically a glorified PowerPoint presentation, set to music, ending with a few political cartoons on the issue. Nothing at all that I'd consider questionable (not even a picture of a firearm, other than those drawn in one of the cartoons).

Still, that makes the situation with the school administrators freaking out and demanding a full psych eval and calling Child Services on the family that much worse.
