Who you gonna trust?

PEW: Americans Trust GOP Over Democrats On Guns, Terrorism, Economy - Breitbart:
According to PEW, the public supports Republicans on guns by a margin of 43 percent to 37 percent.
Regarding the “terror threat,” the public sides with Republicans over Democrats 46 percent to 34 percent.
On the economy they side with Republicans by a margin of 42 percent to 37 percent. The public supports Republicans over Democrats by a slimmer margin on Immigration, 42 percent to 40 percent, but it is one more area where the American public looks to them instead of to Democrats.

Personally, I don't trust any of the lying scoundrels.

The article did, however, provide a nice blurb which essentially defines the difference between conservative and liberal ideology:

Republicans reacted to the San Bernardino terror attacks by focusing on border security and mental health, whereas Democrats reacted by wanting to expand gun control and introducing a ban on the manufacture of AR-15s and related weapons.
See details in "Breaking News" below the fold:

Washington Times reports that Hillary proposes a ban on "assault weapons" and "high-capacity magazines:

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton proposed an assault rifle ban and limits on high capacity magazines to stop potential terrorist attacks in the United States.
I have news for [Republicans] — terrorists use guns to kill Americans. I think we should make it harder for them from to do that,” Mrs. Clintonsaid in a counterterrorism speech Tuesday in Minneapolis. “I have this old fashioned idea that we elect a president to keep us safe. … I’m not going to let the gun lobby tell me that’s not right.”
and ...

Breitbart reports a new bill to be introduced to the House banning the manufacture of "assault weapons:

On December 16,  Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI)
will introduce the “Assault Weapons Ban of 2015″ to ban all manufacturing of “assault weapons.”
Besides banning the manufacturing of AR-15s and related firearms, the ban would put in place “new restrictions on the sale of already existing assault weapons.”
According to The Hill, Cicilline said, “Assault weapons are designed for the sole purpose of killing as many people as quickly as possible. We need to do everything we can to reduce the toll of gun violence by keeping these weapons out of our communities.”
His bill has “90 Democrat co-sponsors ....

[emphasis added; note "everybody" is reading the same script today]

The North Carolina News-Observer has a more realistic opinion on this bunch of maroons.

But wait!

Robert Farargo at The Truth About Guns reports on the "Republican Compromise on the 'No Fly List' Gun Ban .....

That is why I don't trust any of the lying scoundrels in either major party.

Trust: For republicans, maybe - sometimes, but verify. For democrats, not as far as I can throw the whole herd of them.

The new AWB bill has been introduced. H.B. 4269. You should read the title.

Sadly, but unsurprisingly, two of Oregon's Reps have signed on as co-sponsors. Blumenauer and Bonamici. Apparently they thing gun control and infringement of rights is a winning issue. Plan accordingly.
